About Mom’s Fence Man
The name came from a real mom. So did the first fence we ever built.
Where It All Started
Bill Pinnell started Mom’s Fence Man with more than 10 years of fencing experience and a clear idea of the kind of work he wanted us to be known for.
One of the first fences behind that vision was for his mother: an eight-foot, pre-stained cedar board-on-board fence with columns and a decorative cap. That build helped shape the standard we still bring to our work today.
Since then, Bill has built a great team around him. We care about the details, how the finished fence looks, and making sure the job is done right from start to finish.
The name came together shortly before the company launched. Bill asked his mom to help come up with it, and she came back with Mom’s Fence Man. He hated it at first, slept on it, and by the next morning realized it was too good to pass up.
The name may get people’s attention, but the work behind it is what matters most. With a team that takes real pride in what we build, that’s what we want people to remember.

Mom's Fence Man Frequently Asked Questions
Who owns Mom’s Fence Man?
Bill Pinnell. He owns the company and does the sales and estimating himself. The person who quotes your fence is the person accountable for it. He’s also the one who sets the build spec every crew works to. If something on your job needs a decision, it doesn’t go through a call center.
Where does the name come from?
Bill’s mom, and it’s literal. She’d just retired, and he asked her to name the company with a friend before the paperwork went in. He didn’t like it at first. Then he realized a name people smile at is a name people remember, and he wanted one that relayed trust. The first fence he ever built was hers, so the name fits twice over.
Who actually shows up and builds the fence?
We have several trusted experts we partner with to guarantee satisfaction. Every crew builds to the same spec. You will get a text when the team is on the way to your house and again on the way out.
Are you insured?
Yes, we’re insured, on every job and every address.
What backs the work after you leave?
A 3 year craftsmanship warranty on new fence installations, a 3 month craftsmanship warranty on repairs, and a 6 month craftsmanship warranty on staining work, plus a guaranteed satisfaction commitment. The warranty covers our craftsmanship and building to the specs quoted on your initial estimate. If something we built isn’t right, we come back out.
What makes your fences different from another company’s?
The part underground, mostly. Galvanized steel posts, 3 feet down, set 6 feet apart instead of the usual 8. A kicker board runs along the bottom, so no board touches dirt. Two quotes can look identical on paper and be nothing alike below the surface. We put post material, post depth, and spacing in writing before anything starts.
What towns do you build in?
Plano first, since that’s where our shop is, and then out across the towns north and east of us. Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Richardson, Parker, Murphy, and New Hope are all on our list. If you’re not sure whether your street is in range, get in touch and we’ll tell you straight.

How do I get started with you?
Send us a message or call. During business hours we come back to you in 5 to 30 minutes. We measure, we walk the line with you, and you get the full build in writing before you decide anything.
